Greg has spent most of his life in the entertainment industry - as a singer, songwriter, actor, playwright and author. Becoming a legal solemniser felt like a natural progression. Here's his story, how he works, and what to expect.

My name is Greg Traynor, and I've been in the entertainment industry for most of my life. I started at an early age, playing in bands and taking part in many stage musicals, and I've also been featured in a lot of TV commercials along the way. Over the years I've written many songs, a couple of plays, and a full musical.
Training to be a legal solemniser felt like a natural progression for me - I love writing, and I love bringing a moment to life for an audience. A wedding ceremony is both of those things rolled into one.
Greg brings a lot more strings to his bow than most other people in this field - singer, songwriter, actor, playwright, author and legal solemniser. That mix means a ceremony that's written with real craft, delivered with real presence, and (if you'd like it) accompanied by live music from the man at the altar himself.
From the first email to the moment you say "I do" - here's exactly what booking Greg looks like, in plain English.
Drop me a line with your intended wedding date and venue. I'll come back to you personally to confirm I'm free and answer any first questions you have.
Contact the HSE and let them know your intention to be wed - your date, your venue, and that I'm the solemniser you've been talking to. By law, you must give them at least three months' notice of your intended wedding date.
They'll come back to confirm that the date you intend to marry on is okay to go ahead.
They'll also confirm that I'm on their official register of solemnisers and authorised to legally marry you.
You'll request your registration form - the famous "green book". This is the legal licence that allows the ceremony to happen on the day.
Now the fun begins. I'll sit down with you to shape the ceremony - your witnesses, your readers, the people you'd like to involve in any enhancements, and anything else that matters to the two of you.
Greg is willing to travel any distance in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland. He is eligible to perform ceremonies both North and South.
These are guide prices - as you'd expect, distance and extras will affect the final bill.

Couples come to Greg because they want a ceremony that feels like them - written, not recycled. A lifetime on stage means the words land properly, the pace is right, and everyone - including the most nervous bride or groom - can breathe a little easier.
